We work out a specification tailored individually to each customer. This shows exactly what has to be done each day plus the periodic work such as descaling boilers, sweeping car parks and clearing rubbish from the building entrance. We collect and wash dirty crockery by dishwasher or by hand. In the West End, we ensure rubbish collection is accurately timed to coincide with the arrival of the waste removal teams.
We are also very happy to advise on and provide the whole range of washroom accessories such as loo roll holders and soap dispensers (liquid and foam). Recently we even installed a battery operated hand towel machine which automatically dispenses a single paper towel sheet when you run your hands under it.
Our cleaners are cross-trained in all aspects of carpet and floor cleaning and have the most up-to-date equipment available to get the job done properly. We use a specialist deep-cleaning system that flushes out dirt and pollutants from those carpet microfibres that many cleaning systems cannot penetrate. We carry this out as part of a periodic schedule or whenever requested. We will also spot clean carpets on request.
We use the reach and wash system, which is recognised as the future of window cleaning. It delivers 100% pure de-ionised water to windows up to four storeys, drying to a spot-free finish and sterile surface. It also washes framework and rinses off sills as the work is carried out. The system is thoroughly environmentally friendly, completely banishing those chemical residues which can cause fatal cracks in the sealants used in double-glazing. Also, operators work from the safety of the ground, eliminating the need for ladders and expensive high-level access equipment, such as hydraulic platforms. In keeping with our green philosophy, we operate LPG vehicles, which produce less pollution and are exempt from the congestion charge. Wherever possible, ground level cleaning is carried out via mopeds, which reduce traffic and burn far less fuel than a van. Specially trained teams can also carry out abseiling and cradle work, so building height is not a factor.
Internal partition glass cleaning is carried out by arrangement with the client and takes place during working hours, in the evenings or at weekends.
These are carried out when requested by the client - generally taking place at weekends, when kitchens are not used. Our highly trained team wears the latest protective clothing and uses very high powered cleaning machines (mostly steam machines), so that not too much cleaning product or chemicals are used.
Server Room and Computer Cleaning
The build up of dirt on computer equipment makes it look old before its time and creates a hygiene problem. This is eradicated and avoided through the regular cleaning of the keyboard, screen and mouse. The same applies to telephone handsets which tend to be shared by staff and can be prone to passing on germs.
Some of our clients have open ceilings, which show pipes and ducting running overhead. We are able to clean these areas with the use of high reach equipment, specialist training and personal protective equipment as directed by Health and Safety.
Decoration and building work throws up a lot of dust and dirt. At Harwoods we have a specialist team who move in when the builders move out. They handle anything from minor refurbishments to cleaning entire new build premises. A thorough clean is essential for both aesthetic and Health and Safety reasons.
It’s essential at the end of a lease that any office building looks its best in order to eliminate or minimise penalty charges according to the provisions of the lease. At Harwoods we offer thorough deep cleaning, including floors, carpets, stairways, kitchens and kitchen appliances, bathrooms, all outside and partition windows and doors. The property will be as good as new when the next tenants move in.
